  • Position Summary
    • The Contracting Manager will be actively involved in the development and negotiation of agreements, amendments and other related documents between the MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and Payers and between the MaineHealth ACO and contracting providers (Medical and Behavioral HealthCare providers and facilities). The Contracting Manager will assist in financial modeling related to contracting as needed. The Contracting Manager will assist in the identification and resolution of payer issues impacting MaineHealth ACO members. Further, the Contracting Manager will participate in communications and education to MaineHealth ACO members regarding Payer agreements.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in managed care or related healthcare field.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with teams of individuals in diverse settings.
    • Ability to manage conflict, stress and multiple simultaneous work demands in an effective, professional manner.
    • Ability and willingness to self-motivate, prioritize, and be willing to change processes to improve effectiveness efficiency. Adapts to changing organizational priorities.
    • Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office.

Director Of Finance

Pines Health Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Director of Finance. This detail-oriented and motivated individual will direct the overall financial management and financial system planning of this multi-site, multi-specialty physicians’ practice management organization under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer. Qualified candidates will be responsible for all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and budgeting. Additionally, the candidate will perform a lead role in working with our independent auditors, reporting provider productivity on a routine basis, identifying opportunities for improved financial performance across the practice, and preparing various financial and statistical reports required by regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience. S/he must be able to prepare monthly financial statements for review by the CEO, COO, and presentation to the Board of Directors. Proficiency is required with Windows-based software including Excel and Word, as well as the Peachtree 2018 accounting software package.
