Manager Managed Care
The Manager Managed Care is responsible for leading the payor relationships for day-to-day operations, ensure staff are following all payor policies and procedures to allow for maximization of reimbursement. The Manager is also responsible to leading the underpayments initiatives across the three Covenant hospitals. He/She will be responsible for ensuring contract reimbursement terms are programmed into the appropriate contract management and patient estimator systems. They will oversee the development of contract performance reports, the modeling of reimbursement rates, the monitoring of key managed care statistics, and the maintenance of the department's SharePoint sites. The Manager will act as a resource for internal customers in resolving underpayments denials, claims, or operational issues when the internal customers are unable to get timely and satisfactory resolution.

The University of Vermont Medical Center is located in Burlington, Vermont, a small vibrant city situated on the shore of beautiful Lake Champlain.
The Practice Supervisor is responsible for leading a team to ensure optimum performance of the daily operations of a clinical site or sites. This is accomplished through the management of site operations which include, but are not limited to: patient access, scheduling (office, OR, procedure room, ancillary testing), insurance precertification, referral management, resource utilization, transcription, service quality, compliance with accreditation agencies (e.g., The Joint Commission), clinical standards of care as applicable and clinical site staffing. In addition to these responsibilities, the Practice Supervisor must have an intense commitment to patient and family centered care, and the ability to foster that culture within the site or sites they lead. The Practice Supervisor will provide administrative direction and coordination of site based and Medical Group programs and initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to orient to Medical Group leadership team through a six-week orientation program. At the end of the orientation, candidates are placed in an open clinic within Chittenden County, many of which are on the main hospital campus, Tilley Drive or at our Fanny Allen Campus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, with three to five years of relevant leadership experience preferred or Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing with five years of relevant leadership experience. Successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership competencies.
