Practice Administrator

Kennebec Anesthesia Associates is looking for a practice administrator to perform business management tasks at our medical practice.

To ensure success as a practice administrator you should demonstrate knowledge of practice administration and, ideally, have experience in a similar medical facility.

Practice Administrator Responsibilities

  • Assist with business planning and the improvement of administrative processes.
  • Act as financial manager of the practice.
  • Supervise, hire and train administrative staff.
  • Work closely with the President to recruit and hire medical staff and lead the onboarding and training process.
  • Keep informed of trends in practice administration and healthcare regulations.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.

Practice Administrator Requirements

  • Prefer at least five years’ experience in practice administration and personnel management in a similar environment
  • Experience in financial management
  • Proficiency using Excel
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills

Camden Dermatology & Mohs Surgery Rockport Maine, seeking an experienced Operations Manager. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Demonstrate effective handling of coordination of front office operations including scheduling, treatment plans, and handling account receivables and insurance forms
  • Aiding with employee development, retention, hiring, staff performance and team moral
  • Manage payroll, benefits, and 401k and additional activities to support practice operations
  • Develop and/or modify employee policies and practices to align with company mission
  • Oversee employees and transactions to ensure compliance with policies and practices
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to ensure all employees achieve highest level of
  • performance
  • Provide positive enforcement and disciplinary actions as needed to ensure all employee
  • comply with CDMS policies
  • Manage clinic flow and resolve issues that arise during clinic operations
  • Ensure providers have necessary resources
  • Maintain efficient, effecting and cost conscious clinic staffing and flow


  • Medical Practice Management experience.  Minimum 4 years as a Manager.
  • Must display a high level of confidentiality, initiative and teamwork along with a willingness to learn

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent, College degree or Business degree preferred
    • 2-5 years administrative experience
    • Excellent computer skills, experience with EMR’s and MAC helpful
    • Physical requirements include (rarely) assisting patients as well as occasional moderate heavy lifting (max 40 lbs)
